Hoy día, el escarpe sigue funcionando como muralla. Supone el límite físico que no permite el crecimiento de Carmona en esa dirección y le obliga a hacerlo hacia otras.

El concepto de proyecto, en vez de crear un límite duro entre lo urbano y lo natural, consiste en entender el borde entre campo y ciudad como algo indefinido, que se diluye en el paisaje.

El argumento gira en torno a ocupar las diferentes zonas de la ladera mediante plataformas, a modo de balconadas con privacidad, conectadas entre si mediante un sistema de caminos. Estos balcones ofrecen a los visitantes magníficas vistas de los alrededores de Carmona.

 

Nowadays the escarp still works as city wall. It supposes the physical limit that doesn’t allow the growth of Carmona in that direction and has to do it towards other areas.

The concept of the project, instead of create a hard limit between urban and nature, consist on understanding the border between the town and the countryside as something undefined, that fades out in the landscape.

The argument revolves around occupying different zones of the hillside by pads, like private balconies, connected them by a system of paths. These balconies offer gorgeous views of the surroundings of Carmona to the visitors.
