Plaza Garibaldi es un espacio complejo donde confluyen muchos aspectos al unísono: ruido, desorden, encuentro de personas y diferentes culturas, tráfico (automóviles, autobus, taxi, tranvía, tren y metro) y otros flujos urbanos que se mezclan y dan lugar a una realidad caótica.

Existe también la necesidad de proporcionar espacios apropiados para el disfrute de la gente: zonas verdes, vegetación, fuentes, caminos peatonales, sombra, comercio y una mejor conexión del tráfico.

La operación consiste en separar los tipos de tráfico en diferentes niveles para evitar la interferencia de estos. Una gran plaza ocupa el espacio central y a uno de sus lados el icónico edificio del proyecto.

Esta forma inusual se convierte en un nuevo monumento en una de las puertas de la ciudad de Nápoles. Este nuevo Intercambiador de Transporte enlaza todos los flujos que pasan por la plaza, la dota de instalaciones y comercio para el vecindario y ofrece increibles vistas de la bahía de Nápoles y del Vesubio.

 

Piazza Garibladi is a complex space where many facts take place in the same time: noise, disorder, meetings of people and different cultures, traffic (car, bus, taxi, tram, train and tube) and other urban flows that get mixed between them becoming a chaotic reality. 

There is also the need to provide proper spaces for the people's leisure: green areas, vegetation, fountains, pedestrian paths, shade, retail and a better a connection of the traffic.

The operation consists on separating the types of traffic into a different levels, in order to avoid the interference of these ones. A big plaza occupies the central space and at one of its corners the iconic building of the project.

This unusual shape becomes a new monument at one the entrances of the city of Naples. This new Ground Transportation Center links all the flows that pass by the square, provides facilities and shopping for the neighbourhood and offers amazing views of the bay of Naples and the Vesuvius.
