El Terrón es un asentamiento situado en Parque Natural de las Marismas del Piedra.

La realidad de este puerto se torna más compleja en los últimos años. Una vez finalizada la actividad pequera allí, la actividades náuticas y de recreo empiezan a cobrar fuerza con más frecuencia.

El principal objetivo del Centro es reunir en un solo edificio los antiguos y nuevos usos de la zona, tales como un museo para la historia del puerto y aquellos marineros que trabajaron allí, el Parque Natural y una escuela náutica para el aprendizaje y la práctica de diferentes deportes acuáticos. Se hace posible así que pasado y presente coexistan en el mismo momento.   

Se ubica en la interfaz entre las marismas y el puerto, funcionando como enlace entre estas dos zonas. Por esta razón se convierte, además de en la fachada del puerto, en un icono que transforma la explanada donde se reparan las redes de pesca en una gran plaza.

 

El Terrón is a township placed in the Nature Park of the Piedra Marshes.

The reality of this Harbour becomes very complicated in the last years. Once the fishing activity is almost over on it, nautical sports and leisure activities start to take place with more frequency.

The main scope of the centre is gathering into a single building old and new uses for the area, such as a museum for the history of the harbour and those seamen who worked there and the Nature Park and a nautical school for the training and practise of the different water sports. It makes possible that past and present coexist in the same time.

Its location occupies the interface between the marshes and the harbour, working as a link of these two zones. For that reason it becomes, besides a façade for the harbour, an icon which transforms the esplanade for the reparation of the fishing nets into a big plaza.
